Tian Di Yuan Su up in the air with online casino plans

The Chinese government is considering lifting its ban on online gambling, a move that would create a potentially huge new market for companies such as Las Vegas Sands and Wynn Resorts.

Officials are reviewing a proposal that would allow Chinese citizens to place bets on foreign websites, a source with knowledge of the matter told Reuters. The plan has already won the backing of the State Council, China's cabinet, the source said.

Lifting the ban would be a major change for China, where all forms of gambling are illegal except for lotteries. The move could also position Beijing for closer ties with global gaming companies as it negotiates a trade deal with Washington.

Shares in casino operators Sands, Wynn and MGM Resorts all rose sharply on the news.

Reuters was first to report on the potential resumption of online gambling in China last year. At that time, Liuchun, an official at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, told Reuters that there were no specific plans to legalize online casinos, but that the government was "studying and exploring the possibility."

The latest development comes as Beijing tones down its rhetoric against US President Donald Trump and seeks to restart trade negotiations. Last week, Trump said he liked Chinese President Xi Jinping "a lot" and that he believed they could have a "phenomenal" relationship.

A spokeswoman for the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), which oversees policy regarding the gambling industry, declined to comment. The Ministry of Culture did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Sands also declined comment.

Gods of Nature (Tian Di Yuan Su) slot gaming a big hit in Taiwan

In the past decade or so, Taiwan has seen a big rise in the popularity of slot machines, or pachinko as they are known there. In fact, the country is now said to have some of the most avid gamers in the region.

What could be behind this phenomena? One reason is that Taiwan offers a variety of gaming options that can be intensely thrilling and satisfying. There are many temples and shrines devoted to different gods and goddesses where people can go to pray for luck and blessings. And it seems that many Taiwanese have taken this traditional idea and turned it into a modern-day obsession, by pouring their money into slot machines in the hopes of winning big.

Some of the most popular gods in Taiwan who are worshiped through pachinko machines include Tian Di Yuan Su, the god of wealth; Mazu, the goddess of the sea; and Huang Di, also known as the Yellow Emperor, who is considered the patron deity of health and good fortune.

The popularity of these gods seems to be translating into big profits for Taiwanese casinos. For example, from January to September 2017, revenues from slot machines totaled NT$203 billion ($6.8 billion US), up almost 9% from 2016. That's a lot of money going into government coffers – not to mention making a lot of people very happy!

Tian Di Yuan Su: how to play and what to expect

The Tian Di Yuan Su (TDYS) is a popular two-player game that is often played in China. It is considered a strategic board game that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. In this article, we will discuss how to play the game and what to expect.

To begin, each player takes turns placing stones on the board according to the following rules:

  1. A stone may only be placed at an intersection, and it must have at least one adjacent empty space on all four sides.

  2. Stones cannot be moved once they are placed on the board, with the exception of capturing opponent's stones.

  3. Stones can be captured by surrounding them completely on all four sides with your own stones. When captured, the opponent's stone is removed from the board and yours is placed in its place.

The object of the game is to capture as many of your opponent's stones as possible, while attempting to protect your own stones. The first player to lose all of their stones loses the game.

There are a few things you should keep in mind when playing TDYS:

  1. As mentioned earlier, you can capture your opponent's stones by surrounding them completely on all four sides. Be sure to pay close attention to your opponent's movements so you can set up traps for them!
  2. Since stones cannot be moved once they are placed, it is important to plan ahead and strategize about where you want to place your stones. Consider the strengths and weaknesses of each position on the board and think about how you can use them to your advantage.
  3. Remember that it is not always advantageous to capture your opponent's stones – sometimes it is better to protect your own pieces instead. Try not to get too wrapped up in chasing down your opponent's pieces; focus on developing your own strategy instead.

gambling gods: Tian Di Yuan Su rules the casino roost

There are many casino myths, but the most popular one is that casino gods rule the gambling world. This is particularly true in Macau, where casino operators and high-rollers often make offerings to Tian Di Yuan Su, the god of wealth, in the hope of winning big.

Tian Di Yuan Su is one of the most important gods in Chinese mythology and is said to control everything from rainfall to the success of businesses. He is typically shown holding a wand with a dragon at one end and a pearl at the other. Offerings to him vary from fruits and flowers to jewellery and expensive cars.

In Macau, there are several temples dedicated to Tian Di Yuan Su, including the Temple of A-Ma near Senado Square and the Temple of Guan Yin on Mount Casinos. Both temples see their fair share of visitors making offerings to the god in the hope of good luck.

The story goes that a young man went to play cards in a casino and won a huge sum of money. He attributed his good fortune to Tian Di Yuan Su and vowed to build a temple in his honour. And so began Macau's love affair with casinos and its patron god.

Today, Tian Di Yuan Su is considered one of the three main gods worshipped in Macau (along with Buddha and Guan Yin), and his influence can be seen throughout the city in the form of temples, statues and even casino gambling strategy guides! If you want to gamble like a pro in Macau, it's best to start by praying to Tian Di Yuan Su for some good luck!
